The Cumberland County Law Enforcement Memorial, located at the Department of Public Safety near Carlisle, Pennsylvania, was dedicated on September 5, 2014. The memorial was made possible by central Pennsylvania businesses and private citizens. It pays homage to 11 law enforcement officers killed in the line of duty serving the people of Cumberland County and provides a fitting tribute to their memory. Those represented are local, state, and federal law enforcement officers whose primary jurisdiction was Cumberland County at the time of their deaths. Fallen officers are recognized with a pedestal and black granite marker in their honor. A life-sized bronze statue of an officer saluting his fallen brothers and sisters keeps eternal watch. The words honor, integrity, service, dedication, and pride appear at the entrance of the memorial.
