The shoulder patch of the Air Force's 132d Security Forces Squadron.

Each squadron in the U.S. Air Force must have its patch approved through the Air Force Historical Research Agency, making each one unique. At the center of the 132d Security Forces Squadron patch is a rhino, the squadron’s humble but fierce mascot, known for its strength and protective nature when provoked. The rhino sits across crossed runways, symbolizing the squadron’s defender heritage and dedication to protecting airfields worldwide. Encircling the rhino and runways are 29 stars, representing Iowa’s admission as the 29th state in the Union on December 28, 1846. The top ribbon bears the squadron’s nickname, “Fighting Rhinos,” while the bottom ribbon displays its official military designation.
