The shoulder patch of the Arkansas State Police.

The Arkansas State Police patch, in the shape of a blue six-pointed star outlined in gold, features part of the state seal in the center. At the bottom is an eagle, holding a scroll in its beak with the inscription Regnat populus, meaning “the people rule,” with a bundle of arrows in one claw and an olive branch in the other. A shield covering the breast of the eagle is engraved with a steamboat at the top, beehive and plow in the middle, and sheaf of wheat at the bottom. Above the eagle is the Goddess of Liberty holding a wreath in her right hand and a pole in her left. She is surmounted by a liberty cap and surrounded by a circle of stars, outside of which is a circle of rays. An angel with the inscription “mercy” is on the left, and a sword with the inscription “justice” is on the right.
