Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Memorial

After two of its officers died in the line of duty, the Spotsylvania County, Virginia, Sheriff’s Office embarked on an effort to create a monument to recognize personnel who lost their lives while serving the community. The agency conducted research on other memorials and surveyed employees to determine a final design.

On May 16, 2012, the Spotsylvania County Sheriff’s Office Law Enforcement Memorial was dedicated. Prominently displayed in front of the public safety building, the monument serves as a constant reminder of those who have given the ultimate sacrifice.
