The Ambridge, Pennsylvania, Police Department patch features the church tower from Old Economy Village, which was the final home of the Harmony Society and now exists as a historical museum. The bridge in the background represents the town’s name. “Ambridge” derives from the American Bridge Company, which founded the town in 1902 on land purchased from the Harmony Society. Once strictly a steel town, Ambridge has transformed into a diversified business and industrial center in southwestern Pennsylvania.
