The shoulder patch of the Northlake, Illinois, Police Department.

In the center of the Northlake, Illinois, Police Department patch is the agency’s year of incorporation — 1949. Surrounding it are three sections: history, which honors the deaths of Sergeant Nagle and Officer Perri in 1967 as they confronted heavily armed bank robbers; education, which represents the department’s commitment to training and recognizes its accreditation status; and community, which signifies the city’s diversity and the agency’s commitment to its citizens. The lines dissecting the sections symbolize three major highways in Northlake.
