The University of Connecticut Police Department patch honors both the academic and athletic aspects of the institution. The Harry A. Gampel Pavilion, represented by the dome, serves as home of the national championship men’s and women’s NCAA Division I basketball teams. Also displayed, the Wilbur Cross Tower represents the traditional academic centerpiece of the university.
