Officer Edward Weissgerber of the Brookfield, Illinois Police Department rescued a man who had been stabbed seven times and was hanging from a noose in an apartment and arrested a suspect who was later charged with attempted murder. Trooper Craig Larson of the Wisconsin State Patrol helped resuscitate two parents and their three young children after their vehicle, which was stuck in snow, filled with carbon monoxide.
