The shape of the Gasconade County, Missouri, Sheriff’s Department’s patch reflects the outline of the county, and the center of the agency’s star includes the Great Seal of the State of Missouri. Two standing grizzly bears symbolize the state’s strength and its citizens’ bravery. The bottom of the patch features the year 1820, when Missouri was admitted to the Union. A wavy blue border at the top of the patch represents the Missouri River, which forms the northern border of the county.
